A. Temperature
Lower or higher temperature has bad effect on road marking paint. The construction temperature of the paint generally refers to the temperature of the hopper when marking lines. Usually, the hopper is required to be maintained at 180-200°C. When the material temperature is lower than 180°C ,the petroleum resin is not fully stretched, which on the one hand, directly affect the appearance of road marking lines; on the other hand, affect adhesion of markings to pavement.
B. Too-long Storage Period
The oxidation of resin will make paint hard and brittle. Thus, it is suggested that the shelf life of hot melt road marking paints should not exceed one year. Paints which have stored for more than one year should be checked before construction, and only do they meet the requirement, will they be put into construction.
C. Paint damp
In general, after the paint is wet, when it is melted in a hydraulic double-cylinder preheater, the moisture turns into water vapor during the heating process, which can easily lead to a large amount of bubbles on the road surface during the marking process.
